French battery manufacturer ForseePower launches ultra-thin lithium-ion battery module

Foreign media reported that French battery manufacturer ForseePower announced the launch of a new generation of ultra-thin lithium-ion battery SLIM series, which can achieve the goal of the world's thinnest modular battery, and add a liquid cooling system to assist heat dissipation. It is reported that the battery capacity ranges from 5 to 21kWh, the voltage range is 50V to 120V, and the charging current is 106A. In addition to the existing high-power Pulse2.5 low-profile battery modules (ultra-high-speed charging and hydrogen hybrid charging), the new ForseePower battery will have two versions: Zen high-energy density version and Flex high-energy density and high-power version. ForseePower’s high-energy-density Zen battery will be the first integrated ultra-thin battery, composed of three battery modules, equipped with high specific energy NMC cells, and also equipped with an integrated liquid cooling system to adjust the installation on the vehicle chassis. The temperature of the battery module can thereby optimize battery life and performance. Such new battery systems will be launched in the spring of 2021 and mass production will begin at the end of 2021. ForseePower stated that the company will supply a new generation of 'slim' batteries to the British bus manufacturer Wrightbus. The two companies signed a contract in October 2020. A supply contract.
