Fuel Prices Fluctuate, Car Owners Alarmed
Fuel prices are volatile, causing concern among car owners. On August 23, 2022, domestic gasoline and diesel prices dropped by RMB 205 and RMB 200 per ton, respectively. By September 6, 2022, they increased by RMB 190 and RMB 185 per ton. Dong Xiucheng, executive director of the Institute of International Business Strategy at the University of International Business and Economics, attributes these fluctuations to political, economic, and financial factors.
Unable to cope with rising fuel prices, many car owners are transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs). The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported that China's new energy vehicle sales reached 3.521 million units in 2021, a 1.6 times increase from the previous year, marking seven consecutive years of global leadership. Fu Bingfeng, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, predicts that production and sales of new energy vehicles will reach 5 million in 2022, potentially achieving the 2025 target of 20% market share ahead of schedule.
Insufficient Charging Stations Pose Challenges
Despite the increase in EV ownership, charging infrastructure remains insufficient. EV owners often download multiple charging apps to locate charging stations, which has become a daily challenge. Pure electric vehicles with a range of only 150-200 kilometers face "range anxiety," particularly for those using their vehicles for ride-hailing services, which typically require 300 kilometers of travel per day.
A Beijing-based ride-hailing driver notes the difficulty: "If I get a long-distance order, I need to ensure my car has enough power and that there is a charging station at the destination. If these conditions aren't met, I don't take the order. Although newer battery technology offers ranges up to 700-800 kilometers, finding available charging stations is still time-consuming—'charging for 1 hour, queuing for 4 hours.'"
Emergency Power Solutions for EVs
CTECHI offers powerful emergency power solutions to address these challenges. Their portable power stations provide a reliable backup for EV owners, ensuring they can charge their vehicles quickly and efficiently. The CTECHI ST2000 model, known as the "2 Degrees of Electricity" power beast, offers fast charging capabilities, making it an essential tool for EV emergencies. This power station can provide up to 25 kilometers of range depending on the model, allowing drivers to reach the nearest charging station without stress.
CTECHI’s power stations use safe, explosion-proof lithium iron phosphate batteries that withstand temperatures up to 800°C, ensuring zero fire risk and peace of mind for vehicle owners. This innovative technology guarantees that EVs can maintain sufficient power, enabling them to travel confidently without fear of power failure.
Conclusion
The rise in new energy vehicle ownership is reshaping societal dynamics, emphasizing the need for reliable emergency power solutions.
