my country's diaphragm company has repeatedly won overseas orders

On June 10, Enjie announced that its subsidiary Shanghai Enjie and UltiumCellsLLC signed a contract for the purchase of lithium-ion battery isolation membranes. It was agreed that UltiumCellsLLC would purchase US$258 million from Shanghai Enjie from the date of signing the contract to the end of 2024 (Approximately RMB 1.65 billion) above lithium-ion battery isolation membrane. UltiumCellsLLC is a joint venture company jointly invested by LG Chem and General Motors. Its main business is the production and manufacturing of power lithium-ion batteries, and it supplies GM North America with lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. Its power lithium battery plant has an annual output of 30GWh. The industry predicts that, based on the contract amount, Enjie will supply wet-coated separators to UltiumCells' US plant. The total supply is expected to be 300 million square meters, corresponding to approximately 17GWh of power lithium battery output. In terms of production construction, Enjie invested 2 billion yuan in Jiangxi in January to build a dry-process diaphragm project with an annual output of 1 billion square meters; in March, it invested 5.8 billion yuan in Chongqing to build 16 high-performance lithium-ion battery microporous diaphragm production lines and 39 coatings. Wiring project. As of the end of 2020, Enjie has established five major domestic bases with 46 wet-process diaphragm production lines, with an output of 3.3 billion square meters, ranking first in the world in terms of production scale. After the new production is released, Enjie's diaphragm production scale will be further expanded. At present, Enjie shares have entered the overseas supply system of Japanese and Korean battery companies such as Panasonic, LG New Energy, and Samsung SDI. Behind the signing of the order for Enjie shares by the American battery company UltiumCellsLLC: From the demand side, the United States has introduced a number of new Incentives for energy vehicles, the US lithium battery market is in strong demand. On May 26, the U.S. Senate passed the 'United States Clean Energy Act' proposal, raising the tax relief ceiling from US$7,500 to US$12,500, relaxing the 200,000 vehicle limit for automakers’ tax relief, and providing manufacturers with 30% tax Credits, etc. In 2020, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in the United States is only 2.2%, which is significantly lower than 14.9% in Europe and 9.8% in my country. With the implementation of the policy, the subsidy decline has been substantially postponed, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in the United States will further increase, which in turn will stimulate overseas demand for lithium battery diaphragms. According to industry data, the US new energy market sales in 2021/2022 will reach 60/1.26 million vehicles, a year-on-year growth rate of 85%/110%, corresponding to the US market's wet coating film demand of 6.7/13.5 billion square meters. From the supply side, the United States now relies heavily on the international market to process most of the raw materials for lithium batteries. Data show that the current US diaphragm production only accounts for 6% of the world's total, which is far lower than my country's 43% of production. With the outbreak of demand in the US electric vehicle market, lithium battery companies with international competitiveness in terms of technical strength and production scale will benefit first from this round of high overseas demand. In addition to Enjie shares, many domestic lithium battery diaphragm companies are also expected to gain a higher global market share. Cangzhou Pearl's wet process diaphragm products have been supplied to Samsung SDI in bulk. On May 19, its announcement stated that the total investment was 620 million yuan, and it planned to invest in the construction of '200 million square meters of wet-process lithium-ion battery separator project' in Cangzhou. Sinoma Technology's diaphragm products have been supplied to LG New Energy and SKI in batches. On May 19, its announcement stated that it planned to invest 3.753 billion yuan to build a '1.04 billion square meters lithium ion battery separator production line' in Nanjing. Xingyuan's diaphragm products have been supplied to international customers such as LG New Energy, Samsung SDI, Japan's Murata, SAFT, etc., and have signed a diaphragm supply contract totaling 3.34 billion yuan with the Swedish battery company Northvolt. On May 28th, its announcement stated that it planned to build 3 billion square meters of wet process diaphragms and coated diaphragms in Nantong with a total investment of 10 billion yuan.
