12 v battery is required for smaller TA2024 and TA2020 amps.
To get full power from a large TK2050 amplifier, you need 24 V, although you can run the amplifier on 12 V with reduced power.
12 v sla Battery (
Also known as \"gel cells\" or \"sealed lead acid \")
Very convenient for battery
Based on sound system.
They are available in many sizes and are cheap.
If you need 24 v, just buy two 12 v batteries and connect them in series.
SLA batteries are widely used in electric scooters, emergency outlet lights, back of the \"UPS\" computer
Power supply, etc. Free batteries!
You can often find free SLA batteries at your local recycling center.
I found that when the battery inside UPSsystems is still intact and easy to remove, they are usually discarded.
If you just want to buy a new 12 v SLA Battery, they cost $20 to $45 depending on the size. Amazon.
Com and batterywholesale.
Com has a lot of sizes, just search for \"12 v sealed lead acid battery.
For TA2024 or TA2020 systems, you can also run on 8 or 10 AA batteries.
Since it will last 3 to 5 hours, use the recharged.
You can get a 10-
AA battery stand from Cesar.
Com part number 12BH310.
Capacity: a wide range of SLA batteries.
For smaller systems, the 4Ah to 8Ah battery is good and weighs between 3 and 6 pounds.
The picture shows 1 to 2 hours of operation per Ah, and the amplifier is smaller.
For larger systems or multiple speakers, you may need to consider the time to run the settings compared to any weight considerations.
In my setup I have a 9Ah battery for TK2050 amps and an 18Ah battery for a dual battery
Speaker settings, if I turn it down a bit, both will run for 6 or 8 hours at full volume.
A standard car battery is about 50Ah.
Rechargeable AA is about 2. 5Ah capacity.
Charging: 12 v sla batteries can be charged with a small car battery charger and you can also get a small cheap charger specially designed for them.
Many electric scooters operate at 12 V, 24 V or 36 V, so you can easily find a charger for $10 to $15 with three voltage options.
You can get this $10 scooter charger on Amazon, just search for \"12 v SLA charger\" or \"24 v SLA charger\" or \"36 v SLA charger \".
They come with a connector that you can cut off directly and replace it with curl --terminals.
Weight: the gel battery is heavy, but you can still save a lot of weight compared to the car battery, because your settings are efficient, so you don\'t need that large battery.
The car battery is 40 or 50 lbs and my gel battery is half the weight to power the same loud unit.
The lithium battery pack is the lightest but much more expensive than the SLA.
You can buy all the big lithium batteries. battery. com.
Depending on your application, you may want to improve the waterproof or anti-vibration of the equipment. Waterproofing -if you are re-
Go home by bike with audio speakers and you may want to draw it.
A pa or DJ speaker usually comes with a waterproof box.
In both cases, I found that the bass horn cone is usually made of unprotected hard paper.
You can easily waterproof by applying a thin layer of water to it

Anti-vibration-
I am making mobile bike systems that are very vibrating.
There are often some larger components in the amplifier that may or may not be well connected to the amplifier board.
Take a look and stick anything that looks fragile. hot-
Both the melt glue and the silicone glue can be well bonded to any shaking part of the electronics. some of the T-amps are ok.
Those of Arjenhelder _ electronics need some-Vibrating glue (see the photo).
The original TK2050 from sure electronics also needs a little help.
Well, there\'s an easy way and a hard way to do everything.
If you want an easy way, here is: read the previous steps.
Get efficient speakers (or 2)
, Get an efficient amplifier, a battery, and connect them together. done! ! (
My article is about a simple person.
The rack-mounted bike party sound system shows an example of the Do Now option)
The steps after this show how to make the 12 v speaker for the campaign
Speaker with integrated battery-powered amp.
This makes it slightly more efficient, less weight, more convenient to pack, but more complex to build.
To make a fully integrated 12 upper speaker, you need :-speaker-stereo amp-
Cross-check the system diagram below.
When crossing after the amplifier, the processing of the complete amplification signal must be very large, and balancing the treble speaker and the bass speaker volume must waste power.
However, we always need to separate the high and low of the mp3 player and orient them to both the tweeter and the bass speaker.
So the secret of a good integrated amplifier setup is that we put a small crossover before the amplifier.
This gives us a UN.
Amplified tweeter signals and a UN
Bass horn signal amplification
We route one of them to the left channel input of the amplifier and the other to the right channel input of the amplifier.
Then on the output side of the amplifier, we connect the left channel directly to the tweeter and the right channel directly to the bass speaker.
When we put the crossover in front of the amp, we can also use it to adjust the volume of the tweeter and bass speakers, and also combine stereo and mono if we want.
Operating at the United Nations
These can be done without wasting power.
So, in order to make the integrated 12 vamp speakers you need :-speaker(s)-
1 stereo amplifier per speaker
1 Crossover per speaker. The stereo amplifier can be T-amp you like.
Most of my building photos show TK2050 amps. The crossover -
I designed my own circuit for this.
See my monoXover project.
This is a fairly simple circuit, so you can make it yourself with parts.
Please let me know if you are interested in purchasing the monoXover DIY kit.
Another option is to use the mixing board.
Some small mixing boards in the range of $50 to $100 can provide this kind of crossover, I haven\'t tried it myself, but it looks like it\'s possible.
Remove the speaker back panel first.
Depending on the Speaker, this can be easy or difficult.
If it\'s not possible, you can remove the bass speakers to get inside.
Inside the speaker (
Usually attached to the plate)is the built-in crossover.
Delete this and note the label on the wire: you want to identify \"and \"-
Wire for bass speakers and treble speakers.
Usually, if you need to double it will also be attached to the bass and treble speakerscheck.
Cut the wire to the intersection and remove it.
Also, see where there is enough space to install the amp and cross switch.
On Peavey PR12N, the board is large enough to accommodate the amplifier.
The Pyle PPHP121 has a very large plate and is easy to use.
On the Behringer B212XL there is no back plate at all, so I will stick the amp somewhere in the box.
If you don\'t have a back panel, there\'s another option --
You can wire all 4 wires outside the bass and treble speakers and connect the amplifier to the outside.
We need to connect the crossover and amplifier to the back panel (
Or somewhere else inside).
The photo shows the installation on the Pyle PPHP121 board. -
Remove the built-inin crossover-
Remove some of the input jacks that come with the Speaker if needed-
Put a power jack in the back (
I used an existing hole or just drilled a new one)-
Pre-drill mounting holeamp crossover. (
I cross with my monoXover).
I also put two holes so I can adjust the tweeter and bass balance knob from the outside. -
Drill the mounting holes to match my TK2050 amp this shows the TK2050 \"improved\" model amplifier from sure electronics.
Please note that I removed the fan from the amp.
When used inside the Speaker, the bass speaker will generate a large amount of airflow to cool the amplifier and there is no need for a fan. -
If you use my monoXover crossover, the bass speaker output will be \"out2\" on the AMP and the treble speaker will be \"out1\" on the amp \". -
If you are not sure which output frequency is high and which output frequency is low, test each output with a normal unmodified speaker to hear it. -
Connect the bass and treble speakers to the amplifier.
Note: depending on the type of crossover you use, you may need to flip the tweeter cable.
If you cross using my monoXover (
Or any 2nd order Crossing)
, You need to flip the tweeter: connect the \"\" of the tweeter to the output of the amplifier-\".
The bass speakers are always \"directly\" connected to the amplifier.
If you use off-the-
The shelf mixes the board and connects the two \"straight up. -
Connect the power cord from the power jack to the amplifier-
Connect the audio cable from the crossover to the amplifier input-
Connect the audio cable for cross-input to the outside of the speaker (
I don\'t have a Jack in my picture if you want to use it, but I will put one later)it\'s done!
I have built some settings with the other speakers and here are some photos of these settings.
For more information, please check the photo notes.
We tested all the speakers.
Our reference is a set of Deep\'s 120 V active power Yamaha.
Deep has been using his mobile dance party setup around San Francisco for the last few years, so it\'s a good comparison.
Our 24 V Speaker measurement was successful!
I made 3 different systems with 100 W TK2050 amps.
The Yamaha reference speaker is rated much higher but less efficient.
All the speakers are very close at the whole volume and the b212xl is a little quieter.
The sound quality of Yamaha and b212xl is significantly better than that of other products.
This is not a race in the use of electricity.
In the case of equal volume, all 3 settings with TK2050 amps use power of about 1/3 Yamaha settings (
With inverter).
1/3 of the power consumption means we don\'t need a car battery to power these systems.
They run well on a smaller and lighter gel cell.
Also, the inverter is not required.
I haven\'t tried making my own speakers yet.
This is quite time consuming.
I\'m not sure if you can improve efficiency by making the box yourself, but you can reduce the weight.
Searching on structures and the web, you can find many projects about building your own box.
In addition to building your own box, you can also buy your favorite bass and treble speakers --
Including some very efficient.
You can also change a better one with the bass speakers in the cheaper plastic PA cabinet.
