Relying on the Qingdao Institute of Energy Storage Industry Technology, built by the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Processes, Chinese Academy of Sciences, successfully developed a new generation of all-solid-state polymer lithium batteries. The diaphragm has the characteristics of excellent high temperature resistance, excellent flame retardant performance, and good electrolyte infiltration, which greatly improves the rate performance and safe use performance of lithium batteries. It was demonstrated in the third-party evaluation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Nano Strategic Leading Special Organization The excellent high-voltage performance has been highly praised by the chief scientist of the project. With the development of technology, electric vehicles have put forward higher requirements for power lithium batteries in terms of high power output and safety performance. Diaphragm electrolyte system is one of the bottlenecks restricting the rapid development of power lithium batteries. The development of high-safety diaphragms and new polymer electrolyte systems is essential to improve the overall performance of power lithium-ion batteries. Cui Guanglei, Executive Dean of Qingdao Energy Storage Research Institute, led scientific researchers to successfully develop high-safety and high-voltage-resistant power lithium battery separators using wet papermaking, interface coupling, and functional modification technologies with completely independent intellectual property rights. Traditional liquid lithium-ion batteries use flammable carbonate solvents and polyolefin separators, which poses great safety hazards. The researchers of the institute successfully manufactured a rigid and flexible all-solid polymer electrolyte through functional modification and coupling and other related processes using independently developed flame-retardant cellulose as the substrate. Compared with the traditional polyethylene oxide pure solid polymer electrolyte, this all-solid polymer electrolyte has higher mechanical strength (45MPa), wider electrochemical window, excellent rate charge and discharge performance (10C), and better performance. The wide temperature range (25℃~160℃) has broad application prospects and industrial value. Currently, Qingdao Energy Storage Institute is optimizing the process parameters of all-solid-state polymer lithium batteries, striving to be the first to achieve industrial demonstrations on economical electric vehicles.
