Power lithium battery development trend and safety issues

On December 17, a talk on the safety of power lithium batteries hosted by Qiantu Motor was held at the Qiantu Experience Center in Sanlitun, Chaoyang District, Beijing. In order to actively promote the popularization of automobile power lithium battery safety knowledge, this meeting invited a former researcher of my country's Northern Vehicle Research Institute who has just retired and the director of the National 863 Electric Vehicle Major Special Power Lithium Battery Detection Center. He is now serving as my country's automobile power lithium battery industry. Mr. Wang Zidong, deputy secretary-general of the Innovation Alliance, was the guest of the conference. Mr. Wang Zidong shared three important points in this talk: 1. The development trend of the power lithium battery industry. 2. What is the safety of power lithium battery? 3. The safety of power lithium battery. Due to the recent frequent occurrence of various problems with new energy electric vehicles, especially the potential fire hazards during the use of users, some car companies have even begun to recall mass-produced models. However, regarding the direction to be reported by the media, Mr. Wang Zidong was particularly at the meeting. To clarify a point, “There are many ways for batteries to be ignited. It is not that the battery is on fire, but because of external factors.” In addition to clarifying the current problem, the previous three questions have also been answered. First of all, the development trend of the battery industry is described in this way, 'The future development trend of batteries is not about the size and weight of the larger the better, let alone how far the current new energy vehicles can go, the larger the size of the battery will bring the side effects. Applications will also be added.' Companies that also advocate battery processing can lay a solid foundation and then break through. Secondly, regarding the second question, 'What is the safety of power lithium batteries?' Mr. Wang Zidong said, 'This is a very sensitive topic. It is supposed that a product shouldn't be like this. Why is it that safety is mentioned when it comes to electric vehicles? Because technology has not made clear progress in recent years, we are eager to increase the energy density, which seems to be a bit too hasty.' And in the course of the speech, various related cases were broken down. Regarding the safety of power lithium batteries, due to technical limitations, it cannot withstand greater demand challenges, and it should be done step by step in the future. Finally, Mr. Wang Zidong also gave some suggestions on how to deal with security issues. He believes that a comprehensive inspection and detection of batteries should be carried out before leaving the factory, and a mature system must be used to control the battery during use. It is particularly important to deal with the temperature of the battery's working environment. The talk is coming to an end. Mr. Wang Zidong made a summary of the meeting. He believes that there is a bubble phenomenon in the new energy industry, excess output and low product power, and it is necessary to coordinate with multiple systems. At the same time, the problem of integrated design should be dealt with as soon as possible. At present, our country is in the first stage of development. The real integration should be in the third stage. The key point is to find the balance of the problem through continuous comprehensive detection of related products. In the case of ensuring safety and reliability, we will talk about costs, and we must speed up the recycling capacity of batteries to reduce the second pollution caused by waste batteries to the environment.
