As market demand continues to rise and product performance is required to improve, traditional manual or semi-automatic production models have been unable to meet the requirements of lithium-ion battery companies. In order to enhance the company's competitiveness and ensure the stable delivery of products, Desay Battery began to explore the automated manufacturing of lithium-ion battery packs in 2011. By 2013, it has 60 automated production lines, but it can only meet the manufacturing of single products. Under this circumstance, Desay Battery began to upgrade to the direction of flexible production lines, launching high-speed and high-precision flexible production lines to meet product delivery in different application fields. As of 2020, Desay Battery has more than 200 PACK automated production lines. In order to ensure the continued leading competitive advantage, Desay Battery will adopt more advanced robotics technology in 2021, and at the same time integrate AI vision technology, do bus integrated control, realize the digital display of processes and products, and make our design more standardized and Modular and structured. Guo Qingming pointed out that the battery PACK automation is embodied in three aspects: one is the transmission system, which realizes high-precision positioning and rapid transmission; the second is the execution system, which realizes modular design and lean design; the third is the control system, which enables transmission and processing to be coordinated. At the same time, the process data and product data are better displayed, fed back, and driven to improve manufacturing. Guo Qingming believes that there are still many pain points in the PACK industry, such as a large number of manual interventions in the material distribution process, how to quickly change the production line, where to investigate quality problems, and whether to deliver on time, quality and quantity. In this regard, in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, PACK company must carry out comprehensive quality management to realize digital production line design, production and manufacturing digitalization, and equipment management digitalization.
