UBS releases cost report for lithium battery manufacturers
Recently, UBS Group released the latest battery manufacturer cost report. Among them, Tesla and Panasonic have the lowest cost of lithium battery production technology, only 111 US dollars/kW·h (approximately RMB 771/kW·h) , Has become the first in the industry, and the second place is about 20% LG Chem The well-known domestic battery manufacturer CATL (CATL) is in fourth place, with a cost of more than US$150/kW·h (approximately RMB 1042/kW·h).
UBS analyst Colin Langan said that the dismantling and analysis of lithium-ion batteries produced by Tesla/Panasonic, LG Chem, Samsung SDI and CATL, especially The cost of Sla/Panasonic's 21700 cylindrical lithium-ion battery is 111 US dollars/kW·h, which is 37 US dollars lower than LG Chem’s 148 US dollars/kW·h, and has obvious cost advantages. At present, the cost of CATL is more than US$150/kW·h, which is slightly inferior to Samsung SDI, ranking fourth.
According to the above statistics, the current battery pack of 75kW·h and 100kW·h on Tesla’s models should have been between US$8,325 and US$11,100 (approximately RMB 57,839) -77119 yuan), the continuous compression of battery costs is also helping vehicles to obtain higher manufacturing profits. The UBS Group said that by 2025, the above-mentioned four manufacturers will control 70% of the new energy vehicle battery market, and the cost will continue to drop by 10% in 2-3 years.
