The annual output of 3 billion Wh lithium-ion battery project landed

by:CTECHi     2021-09-17
Recently, Wuhan Zhongyuan Electronics Group and Wuhan Economic Development Zone signed a digital city network information supporting battery project cooperation agreement. After reaching full capacity, it can form a production scale with an annual output of 3 billion Wh various lithium-ion batteries and lithium-ion battery systems, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. . It is understood that the project is an important construction of a lithium-ion battery production line and a lithium-ion battery system assembly line, with a construction period of 36 months. Just in March 2020, Wuhan Zhongyuan Electronics Group launched a special equipment new energy and application construction project, which mainly builds special lithium-ion battery production lines, laboratories and trial production lines. After reaching full capacity, it can form an annual output of 600 million Wh lithium-ion batteries. And the production scale of the system, the total investment is 480 million yuan, and the construction period is 15 months. On January 16, the first batch of products of the project rolled off the production line. The products were mainly used in special equipment, smart instrumentation, ETC, shared bicycles, portable power supplies and other special fields. It is reported that the above-mentioned two projects were invested and constructed by my country Great Wall Technology Group Co., Ltd., which was constructed and managed by Wuhan Zhongyuan Electronics Group Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Zhongyuan Yangtze River Technology Development Co., Ltd. was specifically undertaken. Wuhan Zhongyuan Changjiang Technology is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wuhan Zhongyuan Electronics Group. Its products and services are widely used in aerospace aircraft, underwater vehicles, special vehicles, communications and LD base stations, power tools, energy storage and other military and civilian fields. Currently, 5G communications, power tools, light vehicles, energy storage and other emerging application markets are bursting with vitality, and the demand for lithium-ion batteries is showing a booming upward trend. Take 5G base stations as an example. Recently, Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology Liu Liehong introduced that my country has built a total of 718,000 5G base stations, and promoted the construction and sharing of 330,000 5G base stations. With the four major operators and my country's towers successively opening base station lithium-ion battery tenders, the demand for base stations will be further released in the future. In the field of power tools, the current domestic smart home, wearable devices and other smart terminal devices are widely used to promote the demand for lithium-ion batteries for power tools. Preliminary survey data from the Advanced Industry Research Institute of Lithium Battery (GGII) shows that my country’s power tool lithium-ion battery shipments in 2020 will be 5.6GWh, a year-on-year increase of 64.7%. However, as more and more battery companies flock to emerging application markets, competition in subdivisions is bound to become more and more fierce, and value and price wars will bring great challenges to battery companies.
