The accelerated release of lithium-ion batteries in multiple application markets such as new energy vehicles and energy storage. From the perspective of the supply chain, the enhancement of product strength has become the company's core grasp of opportunities. Following the signing of the 'Zhongke Fengyuan Research Institute' by Fengyuan Shares and the Institute of Youth Energy of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in December 2020, on February 24, Fengyuan Shares (002805) announced again that it intends to establish a joint investment with related party Cui Guanglei Qingdao Zhongke Huineng Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as 'Zhong Ke Huineng') to promote the operation, management and development of the 'Zhongke Fengyuan Research Institute'. Zhongke Huineng will be mainly engaged in the research and development of new energy high-performance electrode materials (nickel cobalt manganese ternary materials, precursors, graphene, lithium manganate, lithium nickel cobalt manganate ternary composite materials, graphene ternary composite materials, etc.) , Production and sales. Carry out research and development, production, sales and after-sales service of high-efficiency electrochemical energy storage products and systems. At the same time, Zhongke Huineng will also serve as an entity legal entity to dock some of the functions of Zhongke Fengyuan Research Institute in administration, research and development, operations and personnel, financial management, and independently carry out technology research and development. It is reported that the 'Zhongke Fengyuan Research Institute' will aim to develop and industrialize advanced lithium-ion battery cathode materials, focusing on improving the specific capacity, working voltage, cycle stability, safety and other indicators of power lithium battery cathode materials. The cooperation period between the two parties is 5 years. It is worth mentioning that Cui Guanglei has a pivotal position in the domestic solid-state battery field. As a researcher at the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Processes, Chinese Academy of Sciences, his team pioneered a polymer-based rigid-flexible composite electrolyte system developed by Cui Guanglei’s team. The Qingneng-I' solid-state battery system successfully provided power support for the 'Wanquan' lander.
